Oat Flour

Compared to all-purpose flour, oat flour has a lower glycemic index as a result of the fiber content. 

Similar to quinoa flour, oat flour provides several necessary daily vitamins and minerals along with antioxidants, non-nutrients that protect your cells! The soluble fiber in oat flour helps promote healthy bacterial growth which improves digestion as well as immune function. 

Oat flour typically requires more volume compared to all-purpose flour when used in recipes. Since it is more dense, it will absorb more liquid than all-purpose flour. This means that it can make a recipe thicker and heavier if not properly adjusted. To achieve the desired consistency and texture, more oat flour may be needed in your recipe compared to all-purpose flour.
